Hublot is celebrating the first anniversary of its boutique in the Principality of Monaco by releasing a new Aerofusion model. Hublot combines their Aerofusion Chronograph design language with the red and white colour scheme of the Monaco flag to produce a really good looking Aerofusion. Hublot rarely releases watches with red being the main colour outside of ceramic watches and watches released in partnership with Ferrari, so while this watch will only be offered in very small numbers, it’s a very nice addition to Hublot’s collection.

This Aerofusion Chronograph sticks to the collection’s standard 45mm case and is water resistant to 50m. The watch is fitted with the HUB1155 movement which has a power reserve of 42 hours. Broken up slightly by the metal of the case, the red portion of the strap flows nicely into the matching red chapter ring which is set against the rest of the Aerofusion’s openworked dial. What really helps to tie everything together with the Monaco theme is the strap’s combination of red calfskin, white stitching, and white rubber. On the topic of straps, while a little more substantial than a typical leather strap, Hublot’s straps are typically very comfortable to wear as the leather is stitched onto a piece of rubber. While this increases comfort level for the wearer, it also drastically increases the strap’s durability and lifespan.

Hublot’s Monaco boutique, located on the Place du Casino in the complex of the world-famous Casino de Monte-Carlo, is once again referenced on the glass of the box that accompanies this watch. Something nice that Hublot does with their boxes is that they’re not only used for storage, but can also be used for display as the top of the box has a raised area that copies the bezel of the watch and uses glass where the crystal would be to create a porthole to view your watch.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Special Edition “Boutique Monaco” will be limited to 30 total pieces and sold exclusively at Hublot’s boutique in Monte Carlo for 15,600 CHF.
