The Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences Announced In Dubai

Dubai-based real estate development company Binghatti has found a branding partner for their planned Burj Binghatti “Hyper-Tower” (their term, not mine) in Dubai’s Business Bay. Binghatti has partnered with Jacob Arabo’s luxury watch and jewellery brand, Jacob & Co., for their new residential tower project. What will ultimately be the second tallest building in Dubai, behind the Burj Khalifa, will be co-branded as the Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences.

According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the building is planned to be 595m or 1952ft tall. For comparison, the current tallest residential building in the world is Central Park Tower in New York City at 472m or 1550ft. The Burj Binghatti J&CR will easily surpass that and assume the top position (literally and figuratively) as the world’s tallest residential building. When including commercial buildings as well, at 595m and a likely 105 floors, the Burj Binghatti will surpass Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea to be the sixth tallest building in the world.

Taking inspiration from the partnership, the residences will have names tied into either watches or jewelry. The quarter-floor units, known as the Villas, will derive their names from precious gemstones. The two and two-plus bedroom units will be called the Emerald and Sapphire Villas. The Ruby Villas, the three-bedroom units, will each include their own infinity pool. While a multitude of sky-high infinity pools might be a little over the top, this is Dubai we’re talking about and it is a pretty neat idea to help set these units apart in an increasingly saturated market of high-end residential buildings.

Moving on from the Villas, we now come to the Mansions, which are supposed to be the next tier in terms of space provided. The Ruby Sky Mansions will feature three bedrooms and I would assume be somewhat of a square footage increase over the the Villas, although there is nothing currently listed as to how large of a footprint the units have. Taking up a half-story each though are the Fleurs de Jardin Sky Mansions and Diamond Sky Mansions. Like the Ruby Villas before, the Fleurs de Jardin Sky and Diamond Sky Mansions each come with their own private infinity pools.

Moving up to the Burj Binghatti J&CR’s two penthouses, the inspiration for the two names come from two of Jacob & Co.’s most renowned watch lines, the Astronomia and the Billionaire. The Astronomia collection of watches can be a fairly divisive topic in watch circles, but the consensus tends to be that they are some of the most beautiful watches ever made. The unit taking the name will be the Astronomia Sky Penthouse, a residence that spans an entire floor of the building. The Billionaire line of watches, likely an even more divisive topic among collectors, will lend its name to what Jacob & Co. calls the “centerpiece” of the entire building, the Billionaire Sky Penthouse, which will span the entirety of two floors. Both penthouses have their own dedicated elevators for increased privacy.

The building and its interior will be designed in conjunction with longtime friend of Jacob Arabo, Roman Vnoukov. Vnoukov is also the man responsible for the design of all Jacob & Co. boutiques worldwide. Some of the building amenities being advertised are “a café bar, a chef’s table and both an outdoor pool and an indoor sky pool, all complemented by pool bars … a private fitness club, serene sky gardens and a spa.” Of note, Bugatti, who is also partnered with Jacob & Co. to produce co-branded watches, recently announced on May 24th that their own project with Binghatti is in the works for another co-branded residential building to be built in Dubai.

The Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences project is currently expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2026.
